Where materials come from
Demolitions, yard clearances, civic refits and trade-held parcels. We record the building type whenever it can be verified, and we leave the record blank when it cannot.
Selection criteria
Sound structure, a useful dimension, and a surface that still has work left in it. We refuse material that cannot be installed safely or whose story cannot be described honestly.
Restoration and preparation
Dry cleaning, de-nailing, rust treatment and documented repairs. Original wear stays unless a specifier asks for a quieter face.
Sustainability
Reuse is the first environmental decision. Transport is batched, finishes are specified to the room, and surplus is offered back into the catalogue rather than discarded.
Provenance
Each lot carries origin, era, condition and installation notes. Treat the demo records as a template; replace them with verified project data before launch.
